The Indirect Rotisserie Pack contains the three essential pieces required to configure a Large or XL Big Green Egg for indirect cooking with the Rotisserie 2.0 installed. This bundle opens the door to the kind of slow, steady cook required to spit roast a larger or more robust joint of meat. Because of the Rotisserie takes within the EGG, it isn’t possible to use it with the ConvEGGtor installed.

The set up

Half-fill the Fire Box with charcoal so there’s plenty of space. Once up to temperature, place the 2-Piece Multi-Level Rack upside down in the EGG with the Baking Stone sitting on the lower level, then install the Rotisserie.

The Indirect Rotisserie Pack is a three-piece accessory bundle designed to let you cook indirectly on a Large or XL Big Green Egg while using the Rotisserie 2.0. It provides the setup needed for slow, steady rotisserie cooks that require heat deflection.

The pack contains:

  • 1 × 2-Piece Multi-Level Rack
  • 1 × Baking Stone
  • 1 × Stainless Steel Grid

Note: The Rotisserie 2.0 is not included.

Because the Rotisserie 2.0 sits deep inside the EGG, there isn’t enough room to use it alongside a ConvEGGtor. This pack uses the Multi-Level Rack and Baking Stone to create an indirect barrier instead, allowing you to spit-roast larger or tougher cuts without direct exposure to the fire.

The Indirect Rotisserie Pack is available for the Large and XL Big Green Egg models.

You can use the components individually for other setups, but the pack is specifically designed to support indirect cooking with the Rotisserie 2.0 installed.

  1. Half-fill your Fire Box with charcoal to maintain space and airflow.
  2. Bring the EGG up to your desired temperature.
  3. Place the 2-Piece Multi-Level Rack upside down inside the EGG.
  4. Position the Baking Stone on the lower level of the rack.
  5. Add the stainless steel grid ontop of the baking stone.
  6. Install the Rotisserie 2.0 above this setup.This creates the indirect barrier needed for slow, even cooking.

It’s perfect for cooking larger or more robust joints of meat—such as pork shoulder, beef roasts, whole poultry, or leg of lamb—where long, gentle rotisserie cooking delivers the best results.

Absolutely. The charcoal and airflow of the EGG still deliver the signature wood-fired flavour, while the Baking Stone ensures gentle, even heat around the meat.

No. The components simply sit inside the EGG and require no tools. Setup takes only a few minutes.

Yes! Adding chunks or chips directly to the charcoal works exactly as it would for any indirect cook.
